UPDATE: As of 11:30 p.m Friday, outage totals were 2,202 for Jersey Central Power & Light, 929 for PSE&G and 35 for Atlantic City Electric.

Power outages spread across New Jersey Monday afternoon as temperatures soared into the triple digits in the state’s first heat wave of the summer.
