CINCINNATI — Sometimes it’s easy to predict Yankees’ roster moves. For instance, when lefty reliever Jayvien Sandridge was recalled twice since last Thursday, it was pretty obvious his first two big-league stints would last a day.

Reliever Luke Weaver was set to return from the injured list last Friday and a starting pitcher needed to be summoned in to start Monday night’s Yankees-Reds series opener with Ryan Yarbrough going on the IL on Sunday. Both times Sandridge was the odd-man out.
