USPS plans a job fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Union Post Office located at 1130 West Chestnut Street in Union.

The job fair aims to fill immediate openings for various vehicle maintenance positions.

According to the event details, the available positions include Electronic Technician (Level 10) with a salary of $74,772 per year or $35.94 per hour, Maintenance Mechanic (Level 7) with a salary of $56,830 per year or $27.32 per hour, and Mail Processing Equipment (MPE) with a salary of $71,056 per year or $34.16 per hour.

To be eligible for these positions, applicants must meet certain requirements.

They must be at least 18 years old at the time of appointment or 16 years old with a high school diploma.

Applicants must also be United States citizens, permanent residents, or citizens of American Samoa or other U.S. territories for at least 5 years.

Additionally, they must possess a valid state driver’s license and have at least two years of unsupervised driving experience, as well as demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record for at least 5 years.

Lastly, applicants must be able to communicate in and understand the English language, with or without reasonable disability accommodation.
