Burglars broke into Rutgers University’s football stadium on Monday night and stole valuables, university police said in a statement.
The burglary happened between 8:35 and 9:42 p.m. within SHI Stadium and Hale Center in Piscataway, the statement said. The perpetrators entered the building through a secured gate and used a tool to gain access to a second secured area, where they removed “items of value,” police said.
The Rutgers University Police did not provide a description of the suspects or specify the items that were stolen.
The department is asking anyone with information to call its detective bureau at 848-932-8025.
