The Who are finally ready to put retire from the live stage.
The English rock band will begin their “The Song Is Over” tour in North America in August, and they plan on making a few goodbye stop across New York and New Jersey.

Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend will perform at the Prudential Center in Newark on Aug. 19, in Atlantic City at Boardwalk Hall on Aug. 23, in Wantagh, N.Y. at the Northwell at Jones Beach Theater on Aug. 28 and on Aug. 30 in New York City a Madison Square Garden.
So for tristate area fans, you have a few chances to get a good goodbye in, but we wouldn’t wait on securing tickets.

How to get tickets to The Who’s farewell tour
Tickets for The Who’s “The Song Is Over” tour go on sale to the public on May 16 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.
If you happen to miss out on the general sale, then you can still find a number of tickets still available on StubHub, Vivid Seats, TicketNetwork and Viagogo.

The cheapest ticket we could find for The Who’s Prudential Center concert on Aug. 19 is $89 on Viagogo.
For their Aug. 23 show in Atlantic City, the cheapest ticket we could find is $91 on Viagogo.
For The Who’s Aug. 28 concert in Wantagh, N.Y., the cheapest ticket we could find before any fees is $111 on Viagogo.
Finally, for their Aug. 30 show in New York City at MSG, the cheapest ticket we could find before any fees is $125 on Viagogo.

The Who will begin their “The Song Is Over” tour on Aug. 16 in Sunrise, Fla. and will wrap up on Sept. 28 in Las Vegas.
“It’s not easy to end the big part of my life that touring with The Who has been,” Roger Daltrey said in a statement. “Thanks for being there for us and look forward to seeing you one last time.”
The Who actually completed their first farewell tour over 40 years ago on Dec. 17, 1982 in Toronto.
Then, in 1989 The Who went back on the road for a reunion tour.
After the 2002 death of their bassist John Entwistle, founding members went on a number of tours and released two albums.
