Sprouts Farmers Market is gearing up to open its third New Jersey supermarket.
The grocer will unveil its store in Aberdeen on Friday, June 7 at 327 Highway 35 in Cliffwood.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome Sprouts Farmers Market to Aberdeen,” Aberdeen mayor Fred Tagliarini said. “In addition to providing fresh, healthy, and specialty foods to our residents, Sprouts also brings 100 jobs to our community, playing a vital role in our vision for Aberdeen becoming the best township to live, raise a family, and grow a business.”
The 22,700-square-foot store took over half of a space that was previously an A&P supermarket, which closed in 2015. LA Fitness occupies the other half.
Sprouts joins other popular eateries in the shopping plaza, including Jersey Mike’s Subs, Wingstop and Domino’s Pizza.
The new grocery store is holding a grand opening weekend ceremony spanning from Friday to Sunday, June 9. The ceremony includes a ribbon-cutting, free reusable goodie bags with products and samples for the first 100 shoppers, free long stem roses from Falcon Farms Floral for the first 400 shoppers, giveaways, including a $500 Sprouts gift card, food sampling and live music.
Also, customers can text DEEN to 777-688 to get 20% off their purchase during the grand opening weekend when they scan the barcode from their Sprouts app account at checkout. They can redeem the coupon two times per day from June 7-9.
Aberdeen’s new grocery store operates from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
The Arizona-based grocery chain offers fresh produce, meat, seafood, dairy, a bakery and other grocery items.
The grocer made its Garden State debut in 2019 in Marlton. Since then, the company has opened a supermarket in Haddon Township in September 2023 and set plans in November 2023 for a new location in West Deptford. It has not yet announced an opening date.
Sprouts Farmers Market operates more than 400 stores throughout 23 states nationwide.
