What is ‘Sister Wives’ about?
Since its debut in 2010, the TV series “Sister Wives” has become one of TLC’s most popular shows. The series follows polygamist Kody Brown and his four “sister wives” Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn – plus their combined 18 children. At the start of the series, the four women were happily married (both legally and spiritually) to patriarch Kody, but over the last 13 years, relationships have broken and trust has been shattered. In the 18th season, Kody is still grappling with the fallout from his divorce from Christine, and he is struggling in many of his other relationships.
What happened in season 17 of ‘Sister Wives’?
In season 17, Christine Brown left Kody, and her departure had massive consequences. Janelle began to float the idea of leaving Kody as well. By the end of the season, during the “Tell All” episodes, it was revealed that Janelle had left and Meri might as well.
Since then, Meri and Janelle released a joint statement about their separation from Kody. Now, in season 18, the only wife he is on good terms with is Robyn, whom he most recently married.
