A second man who escaped from an ICE detention facility in Newark last week has been captured, the FBI said.
Joan Sebastian Castaneda-Lozada was back in custody, an FBI Newark office spokesperson said Sunday. No further details on his capture were immediately available.
On Sunday, the Newark office issued a wanted poster looking for information about escapees Franklin Norberto Bautista-Reyes and Andres Felipe Pineda-Mogollon, two of the four men who escaped Thursday from Delaney Hall, the immigrant detention center facility contracted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, known as ICE.
Authorities captured Joel Enrique Sandoval-Lopez on Friday in Passaic, according to the Passaic City police department.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), under which ICE falls, on Friday, described the four men as “criminal illegal aliens” and offered $10,000 for information on their capture. (The DHS listed Pineda-Mogollon with only the first name Andres.)

Pineda-Mogollon is 25 years old. His last known address was in Newark, and he has ties to Queens, New York, the FBI said.
The DHS had said he’s originally from Colombia, illegally entered the U.S. in 2023, and was arrested by the New York Police Department on April 25 for petty larceny and again on May 21 in Union on burglary charges.
