Spring football is officially over at Rutgers, but a busy offseason is ongoing.
The Scarlet Knights concluded their preseason camp with its annual Scarlet and White scrimmage on Saturday, where quarterback of the future AJ Surace showed promising signs of where his development currently stands.
Away from the field, Rutgers added a trio of transfers who provided crucial depth, but also suffered a major loss when veteran linebacker Mohamed Toure entered the portal on the final day of the spring window
The Rutgers Rant is back to discuss all of that and evaluate where the football program stands after a crucial marker in their offseason.
We touch on the men’s basketball team’s recent additions in the transfer portal — namely, Kansas State center Baye Fall and NJIT guard Tariq Francis — and what is next on their list as they build their roster, along with the latest on the general manager position.
And, of course, we answer the questions submitted by our listeners.
