Rutgers is replacing fired head gymnastics coach Umme Salim-Beasley with one of her longtime lieutenants.
Anastasia Candia, a former Scarlet Knights letterwinner who coached under Salim-Beasley for the past 10 seasons, has been named the ninth head coach in program history, a person with knowledge of the situation told NJ Advance Media on Wednesday.
