PHILADELPHIA—Toms River North may not have achieved their goal of breaking Camden’s state record in the 4x400, but they accomplished something that no N.J. 4x400 relay can ever say.
In the final moments of the 4x400 championship race at New Balance Nationals, the Mariners were right on the tails of reigning national champions Bullis (Md.), who boast Olympic gold medalist Quincy Wilson, one of the fastest 400 meter runners in the entire country, regardless of age.
