Powerball ticket worth $50K sold at N.J. store

The $50,000 Powerball lottery ticket sold in New Jersey for Saturday’s drawing was purchased in Burlington County.

The winner bought the third-prize ticket at News Agency on High Street in Burlington City, the New Jersey Lottery said.

It matched four numbers plus the Powerball.

Saturday’s winning numbers were: 1, 29, 37, 56 and 68. The Powerball drawn was 13 with a Power Play of 2x.

Someone who bought a Powerball ticket in Los Angeles, California won the $205 million jackpot on Saturday night.

The cash option is worth $91.6 million.

No one across the country hit Monday’s $20 million jackpot, nor were there any

Monday’s winning numbers were: 1, 7, 44, 57 and 61. The Powerball drawn was 21 with a Power Play of 3x. A second-prize, $1 million ticket was bought in Maryland.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are more than 292 million to 1. A player who buys a ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers but not the Powerball and win a second-prize of at least $1 million.

The odds of winning a third prize of at least $50,000 are 913,129 to 1.

Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is worth $202 million with a cash option of $90 million.
