The remarkable season of Eastern’s Natalie Dumas reached new heights Friday at Franklin Field, as the junior standout claimed her second consecutive New Balance Nationals title in the 400 hurdles—and did so in historic fashion.
Dumas blazed through the sixth and final heat in 55.99, not only securing the national crown but also setting a new meet record. Her time now ranks as the second-fastest ever recorded by a N.J. athlete and the sixth-best in U.S. high school history.
