N.J. police officer taken to hospital following accident, officials say

A Roseland police officer was injured and taken to the hospital Friday afternoon after he was involved in an accident in the borough, officials said.

The accident happened at 4 p.m. in the area of Livingston Avenue and Becker Farm Road, according to Roseland Mayor James Spango.

The mayor did not release any other information about the incident.

The officer was taken to University Hospital for evaluation and treatment, Spango said.

“The Borough asks that you keep the officer and his family in your thoughts and prayers,” Spango said. “Updates from the Borough will be released as needed.”
