A man fatally shot his girlfriend and her 10-year-old daughter in a Hamilton home early Thursday before killing himself, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Hamilton police officers found all three dead inside the Henry Street home after responding to a 911 call dialed at 4 a.m.
The prosecutor’s office did not immediately identify the victims.
“Preliminary investigation indicates the man shot his girlfriend and her 10-year-old daughter before shooting himself,” authorities said in a press statement.
Henry Street runs a few blocks parallel to and south of Lalor Street off Route 129 near the Trenton border.
Township police and the prosecutor’s Mercer County Homicide Task Force were still investigating the shootings as of midday Thursday.
