Many in N.J may be without power until Saturday night following damaging storms

UPDATE: As of 9:45 p.m Friday, outage totals were 5,332 for Jersey Central Power & Light, 648 for PSE&G and 38 for Atlantic City Electric.

About 13,000 homes in New Jersey are still without power, with some not expected to be restored until Saturday night following Thursday night’s damaging thunderstorms and winds.

As of 5:45 p.m. Friday, a total of 13,660 customers were still without power, according to Jersey Central Power & Light’s power outage map. Another 646 PSE&G customers and 50 Atlantic City Electric customers were still without power.
