Ex-United States President and Republican Donald Trump isn’t the only 2024 Presidential nominee who enjoys Formula 1 racing.
Apparently, Vice President Kamala Harris, the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee, shares Trump’s enthusiasm for the fringe sport, which shocked her popular interviewer last week.
Harris revealed one of her favorite pastimes, and her top race car driver during an appearance on “The Howard Stern Show,” leaving Stern stunned as Harris divulged her truth.
“Why do you like Formula 1?” Stern, Trump’s “former buddy” and one of his biggest critics, asked. “These guys drive around their cars over and over again in a circle.”
“Oh, it’s so good,” Harris answered. “We love it. Our whole family does.”
Stern asked Harris if her alleged “love” is just “a campaign thing,” to which Harris answered, “No, God no,” before plugging the sport’s biggest draw.
“Who is you favorite driver?” Stern asked, seemingly trying to catch Harris off guard.
“Lewis Hamilton, of course,” said Harris, touting the British star of Grenadian descent who some polls dub the most popular F1 driver worldwide. “He’s leaving Mercedes. You don’t know who (Lewis Hamilton) is? You don’t watch Formula 1? Once you start ... You should see it. You might get hooked.”
According to his F1 profile, Hamilton has won a joint-record seven Formula One World Drivers’ Championship titles — tied with Michael Schumacher. He also holds the records for most wins (105), pole positions (104), and podium finishes (201), among others, per Wikipedia.
