That’s especially true for Juneteenth being a newer holiday and some states, like New Jersey, celebrating on days other than June 19.

Is the stock market closed on Juneteenth 2025?
Yes, the stock market is closed on Thursday in honor of the Juneteenth holiday.
Closings include the New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq and bond markets.
The stock market will reopen on Friday, June 20, because it follows the federal government’s holiday schedule rather than the schedule of individual states, like New Jersey, that celebrate the day after.
