The Stone Pony defines the fun and confident Garden State attitude. When the rest of Asbury Park was dying, it stubbornly hung on. An unpretentious “neighborhood joint,” as Bruce Springsteen calls it, this rock-and-roll icon attracts some of some of the best bands. Ever. (Don’t bother arguing.)
