Several hidden cameras were found in public restrooms along the boardwalk in Ocean City this week, police said.
A woman found a camera in a bathroom at Sixth Street on the boardwalk around 12:25 p.m. Thursday and notified police in the popular Jersey Shore resort city, a statement from the police department said.
Officers then checked other public restrooms along the boardwalk and found cameras in the public restrooms at both 10th Street and 11th Street.
The tiny cameras were disguised as pens, according to a report by 6abc.com in Philadelphia.
Police officers will continue to periodically check bathrooms on Friday, officials said.
No arrests have been made as of Friday afternoon.
“I want to assure the public that our detectives will use every available resource to find the person who placed these cameras, and any suspect will be prosecuted to the fullest,” Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Ocean City police at 609-525-9131 or email Lt. Dan Lancaster at dlancaster@ocnj.us.
