“Born to Be Viral: The Real Lives of Kidfluencers,” which will take a look at the complexities of modern child fame in the era of the internet, is releasing its debut episode on Monday, June 23 on Freeform at 10 p.m. You can watch both the premiere, and future episodes, live as they air with DirecTV (free trial) or Fubo TV (free trial).
A “kidfluencer” is an agonized portmanteau of “kid” and “influencer,” which, though these two words do not quite fit neatly together, is intended to illustrate children who are online celebrities across various platforms. The series will take a hard look at this, examining the complexity of what it means to be a young person in a world of virality and constant attention.
